Who we are
Equal Right and Health Emancipation Initiative for Young Person and Adolescent (ERHEAP) is a Nigerian community-led organisation committed to advancing health, human rights, dignity, safety and economic empowerment for adolescents, young people and marginalised communities across South-South Nigeria.
A community-led response to barriers too many face.
ERHEAP works with adolescents, young people and marginalised and vulnerable communities across South-South Nigeria. We work alongside communities to help address the barriers that hold people back - poverty, stigma, discrimination, violence, limited access to healthcare and exclusion from opportunities.
Our work is rooted in a simple belief: everyone deserves the opportunity to live a healthy, safe and dignified life. Yet many people continue to face barriers because of poverty, stigma, discrimination, violence, limited access to healthcare and exclusion from opportunities. ERHEAP works alongside communities to help address these barriers.

The team behind the work
Our team brings together experience across programme management, health, finance, human rights, community engagement, communications, safeguarding, shelter services, monitoring and evaluation. We are supported by volunteers and community members who contribute to programme delivery and community mobilisation.
